Northwoods Care Centre - Belvidere, IL

Northwoods Care Centre, along with MapleCrest Care Centre, recently held a FREE, public seminar, "Understanding Stroke", at the Keen Age Center.  Presented by our own Sharon Thomas, Clinical Nurse Liaison, the program covered such areas as, understanding the causes of stroke, signs of impending stroke, steps to prevent stroke and post stroke effects.

 The seminar was attended by 30 seniors from the Belvidere area, including John Slattengren, Executive Director for the Boone County Council on Aging and Marc Bright, Public Relations Director for both Northwoods and MapleCrest Care Centres.  A free raffle was held and attendee, Lorraine Hetland, won the beautiful gift basket.
